Why should I use a travel consultant?

Despite the convenience of online booking, travel consultants remain a valuable source of information for travelers. They can provide personalized assistance, aid in unexpected situations, and help anticipate potential issues ahead of time. Additionally, travel consultants have access to exclusive deals and perks that are not readily available to the general public.

How are you paid? Will I pay more if I book through a consultant?

Most travel suppliers (hotels, cruise lines, tour companies, etc.) pay a commission to travel consultants for planning and managing your trip. That commission is the main way we are compensated and allows us to support you before, during, and after you travel. Additionally we also usually charge a small planning fee. This is discussed upfront, before we begin working together, so there are no surprises.


Our planning fee helps ensure we can devote the time, expertise, and attention your trip deserves—and it allows us to focus on clients who are serious about planning a great experience. For most trips, the fee is around $150, which typically represents a very small portion of your overall travel investment. In many cases, the value you receive (better options, time saved, perks, and avoided mistakes) outweighs the small cost.


Some services—such as our Prearranged Groups and Disney Theme Park Bonus—do not have a planning fee, while more complex or time-intensive itineraries may have a slightly higher fee.


Bottom line: you’re paying for expertise, time savings, and peace of mind—and we make sure you know exactly what to expect before we get started.

Can I use a consultant if I use points or reward dollars to pay for some of my travel expenses?

If you have points or rewards that can be used towards a portion of your trip, we can still provide you with consulting services. The process for applying these points may vary based on the type of points and travel you wish to undertake, we are happy to discuss your individual needs with you. 

Do I need travel insurance?

We highly recommend that you obtain coverage to protect yourself in the event of unexpected situations. Please contact us for more information on insurance.
