We are excited to host this group of like-minded producers on a European agriculture experience designed specifically for active and retired farmers who want more than just a vacation.
This journey begins in Amsterdam and travels through Germany with a couple agricultural stops — including a visit to a working European farm and time at Agritechnica, the world’s leading farm trade show. From there, we continue to Rothenburg and finish in Basel. Once in Basel guests will board the AmaSerena and enjoy a relaxing river cruise back to Amsterdam.
Guests can enjoy this as a combined journey that will provide a roundtrip experience from Amsterdam or guests can book either the land journey or river cruise. If you join us for only the river cruise we will be happy to assist your in creating your own perfect land itinerary.
This isn’t just a coach tour or river cruise. It’s an opportunity to connect with other producers, see how agriculture is done in another part of the world, exchange ideas, and enjoy Europe in a way that feels both meaningful and memorable.
If you’ve ever said, “I’d love to see how they farm over there,” this is your chance. We’d love to have you join us!!!

No. International airfare and travel insurance are not included in the listed pricing. We are happy to assist with flight arrangements and strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance coverage.
We have secured highly competitive group pricing and limited cabin inventory. Once space is confirmed, we are financially responsible for those cabins and land arrangements, regardless of cancellations. The deposit structure protects the group pricing and reduces financial risk for the organizer.
Although deposits and payments are non-refundable, name changes are permitted until November 10, 2027. To assist with any name changes we will keep a list of others interested in joining and assist you in completing these name changes as required.
We understand that 2027 feels far away. If you’re not ready to commit, we can place you on an interest list. Should space become available due to cancellations, we can assist in facilitating a name change (subject to supplier policies and applicable fees).
Yes. The group pricing on the river cruise offers significant savings, so you are welcome to join just the cruise portion without participating in the land tour or group-specific activities. In that case, you benefit from the group rates and amenities without any group commitments.
While this group is designed with active and retired agriculture producers in mind, anyone with a genuine interest in farming and agricultural innovation is welcome to join. The educational components will focus on agriculture, but the cultural and sightseeing experiences are enjoyable for all.
Additionally, the savings on the river cruise are significant so you may choose just to book the river cruise as an individual traveller and not to participate in any of the group activities. In this case you will take advantage of the group benefits without any of the group commitments.
We are not accountants, and we recommend speaking directly with yours. That said, this itinerary includes agricultural site visits and time at AGRITECHNICA, a globally recognized industry event. We also plan to incorporate structured discussions during the cruise portion. Whether this qualifies for tax purposes depends on your individual situation, so professional guidance is essential.
This is an active itinerary. It includes walking tours, fairground visits, and optional excursions during the cruise. While not extreme, a moderate level of mobility is recommended.
AmaWaterways has an outstanding reputation for quality service, well-designed ships, and an active excursion program. Their itineraries include a variety of guided tours, biking options, and walking experiences that appeal to a hands-on, engaged audience.
The Festive Delights itinerary offers seasonal décor and onboard celebrations without limiting shore excursions primarily to Christmas market visits. Dedicated Christmas Market sailings focus heavily on market tours. This itinerary provides broader cultural exploration while still enjoying the festive atmosphere — and you may still encounter local Christmas markets along the way.
